New back Mtn. Fire tactal channel ? I heard last night with all the mva's on the crossvalley last night a unit said switch over to channel 2 so, I did a quick search and came up with this frequency of 159.760 Dpl-031,
Anyone have any clue?

Channel 2 would be a fire ground channel. This channel is used so the Bk.Mtn freq. or Cty. Fire is not tied up by the situation you may have. The freq. you listed would most likely be Kingston Twp.,Shavertown,orTrucksville if it was as you said in the Bk.Mtn. on the Cross Valley. If it is on the Cross Valley and not in the Bk,Mtn. it would most likely be Courtdale,Luzerne, but as far as a Fire Tactical Channel I have not yet heard of one yet.

I know its not courtdale or luzerne. Luzerne has one fireground or they like to call it privet freq. of 154.205 pl-156.7 And courtdale only uses west side m/a and the two grnds. It was a back mtn. freq. it does narrow down the list.

There's a fire going on as I type (Newberry Estates). When they switched to Dallas fireground I didn't find anything on the Dallas freq (154.220). Instead they seemed to be on 159.760 Dpl-031 (as listed above)

Yea I was at that fire last night and they mignt have a repeater!!!! They were called to a rekindle and he swiched over to a "Dallas Repeater" it got to be it cuze there was no activity on 154.220. It has to be new because I have the RadioShack Police Call Frequencies Guide and there is nothing listed for Dallas having a 159.760? There call sign is called "KBG204" and I looked searched it using the call sign. I will update if I find more info!!!

hay do u an input at all??? i dont think that is the right frequencie cuse the .75 7is not a good freq. its 159.760 but u have the right dpl This is what they call a splinter frequency, and it IS correct. Older scanners can not program this, but IF you program 159.760(round up), you should get it OK. If you have a newer scanner, you may have to tell it to use 7.5 steps. The DPL is 031. If your scanner does DPL, you will find this AFTER all the PL codes in your scanner This frequency has NOT been registered with the FCC for use by Dallas yet, (KBG204 does not list this freq) but there is a License for this frequency: WPQG415. Dallas may be "renting" this frequency from WPQG415. However, the location of the repeater for WPQG415 is in Mountain top, and this signal is TOO WEAK to be in Mtop. I have not been able to get the input, but it could be one of these, which are resgistered to WPQG415: 151.67000000 151.73000000 151.79000000 151.8500000 If anyone can provide better info, I am definitely interested.

This is a useful list, but some of the PL codes may be out of date. For example, PMEA (Actually Luz Cty EMA EOC) is 110.9. Perhaps 156.7 is listed for the INPUT, which would be correct. DNCR-2 is 114.8. I didn't check everything, but perhaps there is a newer list somewhere that you could post. While we are on the subject of EMA, 855.7125 No PL was active during the BIG RAIN as a link from 911 ctr to EOC.

output is 159.7600 DLP/DCS is 031 Just to confirm, the correct frequency is 159.7575. Because the signal is weak, I unable to receive anything on 159.7600, but 159.7575 was receiving. Someone closer would probably receive 159.7600 OK

I always felt that was the result of having LCFA and direct hospital patches (soon to be UHF), so it puzzles me as to why an ems team would need a separate channel. There is an obvious need for fireground freq due to the activity on site, but the same can not usually be said for EMS. Can you offer any types of comm's that would be worthy of taking precious frequency spectrum? Not trying to question wisdom of it, but really to understand.
